The obtaining of GOST- R Declaration of Conformity for lithium cells and batteries is to be carried out in accordance with paragraph 3 of the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated December 1, 2009 No. 982 “On approval of a common list of products conformity of which is carried out in the form of a declaration of conformity.”

According to the procedure, there are two ways to accept the declaration of conformity for of lithium cells and batteries:

1. Perform local testing (provision of samples is required) carried out in a duly accredited testing laboratory in Russia
2. Acceptance of a quality system certificate issued by an accredited certification body

The second option is the most favorable and recommended one because it does not require to perform local testing and provide      samples. Also, it does not require any supporting documentation except QMS certificate (ISO 9001). The declaration of conformity will be issued by accepting a quality management system certificate solely.
