Paraguay Registration and Energy Efficiency Certification of Lamps
Effective February 2, 2019
Paraguayan Government published Resolution № 804 regulated Decree № 7103 of 27.04.2017. The resolution entered into force on August 13, 2018. However, manufacturers and importers have a transition period which will end on February 2, 2019.
The resolution applies to manufacturers and importers of the following products:
- Incandescent lamps with tungsten filament for general lighting
- Fluorescent lamps for general lighting with built-in ballast
- Single socket fluorescent lamps for general lighting
- Double socket fluorescent lamps for general lighting
The registration is valid for 1 year.
The requirements for accessing the Prior Import License must be processed through the Platform of the Single Import Window of the National Customs Directorate by submitting certain specified documents. Prior Import Licences are granted for a period of 30 days and may be extended.
Manufacture, importation, and commercialization of the lamps in the scope are subject to certification by a certification body accredited by the National Accreditation Body (ONA) and must be affixed with the appropriate energy efficiency label.
