Effective February 13, 2020 

The Directorate General of Posts and Information Resources & Equipment (SDPPI) announced a new regulation concerning about technical requirements for Automotive Short Range Radar System.

SDPPI issued the two new standards:

1) Nomor 02 of 2020 – Technical Standards for Radar Equipment

The standard covers the radar stated below:

• Maritime Radar
• Surveillance Radar
• Ground Based Synthetic Aperture Radar
• Oceanographic Radar

Technical requirements stated in the standards:

• Safety requirements according to 60950-1 or 62368-1
• EMC requirements according to CISPR 32
• RF requirements refer to the information stated in Nomor 02 of 2020

2) Nomor 03 of 2020 – Technical Standards for ASRS Automotive Short Range Radar System

• KEPDIRJEN POSTEL No 08/DIRJEN/2004 Vehicle Radio Location/Short Range Radar System will be withdrawn upon this new requirements mandates
• Automotive Short Range Radar System equipment that has obtained test report based on the old requirements before are still be able to apply for certification
• This standards are mainly for 76-77 GHz Radar

• RF requirements refer to the information stated in Nomor 03 of 2020
