India (TEC) - Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecommunications Equipment (MTCTE)
Effective June 23, 2020
TEC has launched a list of products under the phase II of implementation.
It covers Transmission Terminal Equipment (SDH Equipment and Multiplexing Equipment), PON family of Broadband Equipment (PON ONT, PON ONU and PON OLT) and Feedback Devices.
Applications for these products will be accepted on MTCTE portal from 25-June-2020 onwards. However, for sale of these equipment, the requirement becomes mandatory from 01-October-2020 which effectively means that no imports or new products manufactured since 01-October-2020 is permitted unless it is certified by TEC under MTCTE.
