India (TEC) - Final Versions of ERs for Most Product Categories

The Telecommunication Engineering Center (TEC) has released Essential Requirements (ERs) for all remaining product categories under TEC’s scope, with the exception of LAN Switches. The following is a list of products that now have a final ER available:

Mobile Handsets (Smartphones, Tablets, Dongles)
Tracking Devices
Smart Watches
IoT Gateways
Smart Cameras
IP Terminals
Media Gateways
DSL Equipment
Signaling Gateways
Session Border Controllers
Base Stations for Cellular Networks
Repeater for Cellular Networks
Compact Cellular Networks
Soft Switches
End Point Devices for Environment Monitoring
Smart Electricity Meters
Equipment Operating in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz Bands
VHF & UHF Radio System Equipment
PTP & PMP Microwave Fixed Radio Systems
HF Radios
Mobile Radio Trunking Systems
Satellite Communication Equipment

TEC approval of products within these categories will become mandatory in the future when TEC issues product lists of future “Phases.” TEC is currently working on the Phase 3 product list that is expected to be implemented later in 2020.
