Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) issued the circular about the marking requirement as per self-declaration of conformity (Scheme-II of Schedule II of BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulation, 2018). This circular supersedes all previous ones.

• BIS website reference bis.gov.in is to be marked on the product or package or both
• The marking is required even if the reference to BIS website is provided in e-labelling of the product
• Registered product meant to be integrated or built into the host product need to comply with the requirement of marking of reference to BIS website until integrated with the host product
