India (BIS) - Extend Implementation Of Revised IS 1293 : 2019 Superseding IS 1293: 2005
Based on BIS Central Mark Department Announcement on Circular Ref No CMD-III/16:1293
The last date of concurrent running of IS 1293: 2005 and IS 1293 : 2019 has been extended to October 23, 2021.
IS 1293: Plugs and socket- outlets of rated voltage up to and including 250 volts and rated current up to 16 amperes
All new plug and socket need to apply under IS 1293:2019 upon October 23, 2021.
