EAEU - EAC Certification Requires Global Location Number (GLN)
Starting from August 1, 2021, all applicant must provide the manufacturer’s GLN (Global Location Number) when registering an EAC Certificate according to the Decree No. 478 of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
Companies export products into the Customs Union countries (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kirgizstan) in 2021 should obtain a GLN which is to be indicated in all EAC Certificates and Declarations.
From July 1, 2021, GLN must be provided for registration of EAC Declarations. In accordance with the Decree No. 936 of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation dated June 19, 2021, however GLN can be omitted until September 1, 2021.
One GLN code stands for one address only. If there are several production sites, multiple GLN codes must be obtained to issue an EAC approval.
