NISI S501 Online Training
Moderating the Effects of Permafrost Degradation on Existing Building Foundations
détails du produit
Course Overview
This course presents the requirements in the National Standard, CAN/CSAS501 and is designed to help learners develop a thorough understanding of the main causes/mechanisms of permafrost degradation and thaw in northern communities and, importantly, near or beneath existing structures. The course will also address the main management options used to reduce, stop or reverse permafrost degradation near or beneath existing structures.
Upon completion of the course, participants will understand the importance of planning construction/installation for seasonal considerations in Northern climates and incorporate that knowledge into their project management and planning activities.
