The National Standard of Canada, CSA Z8002, Operation and maintenance of health care facilities, sets out a framework for coordinated operation and management programs (COMP) to help HCF owners, management, and staff increase the safety, reliability, and overall cost-effectiveness of their facility. The 2025 edition of the standard brings new requirements highlighting best practices for sustainability, resilience, energy conservation, decarbonization, and adaptation to climate risks.
