November 11, 2011 – CSA International is alerting the public regarding Loblaw’s brand 3D animated and non-animated outdoor decorative lighting products. The products bear counterfeit (unauthorized) registered CSA trade-marks on the unit, cautionary labeling and packaging.

The 3D animated and non-animated decorative lighting products have not been tested or evaluated by CSA International. The safety or performance characteristics for these products are unknown to CSA International and consumers are advised to contact their point of purchase or electrical regulatory authority for guidance.

The affected products were manufactured by D.Sun Hardware and Festive Lighting and distributed by Counseltron Ltd., Toronto for retail in Loblaw’s stores. The products are not certified by CSA International and are not eligible to bear the CSA International certification mark.
