Safety Recall to Replace Neon Tubes in “Chrysler” Badge Signs

(this release is intended for DaimlerChrysler dealers only) Click here to read more information about affected models Teksign Inc. is the manufacturer of the DaimlerChrysler Canada Inc. dealer identification signage located on the building exterior of your dealership. Although there has been only one incident, Teksign has determined that a defect in the neon letter design which relates to safety may exist in 2003 through 2005 model year Global Fascia Signs. This pertains only to the “Chrysler” wordmark. All affected dealers are advised to immediately turn off any power to the “Chrysler” word signs located directly above the Chrysler Wing logo. In some instances there may be overheating resulting in increased risk of a fire. Teksign will be contacting you shortly to schedule an on-site exchange of the neon tube lighting with a new low voltage lighting array. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused; however, we believe you will understand our concern for safety and for your continnuing satisfaction with our products.
