Standards solutions for sustainability
Together with UL and the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), we helped develop AHAM 7001/CSA SPE-7001/UL 7001, the first sustainability standard for home refrigeration units. This standard follows a lifecycle approach in identifying the environmental impacts the life cycle of refrigerator products taking in account the following key areas:
- Manufacturing and operations
- Energy consumption during use
- Product performance
- End of life
In May 2013, CSA Group along with AHAM and UL released the first sustainability standards for household clothes washers, AHAM 7003/CSA SPE-7003/UL 7003. Find out how your products can be certified to this new standard.
