CSA Group's Commitment with Habitat for Humanity
CSA Group is proud and privileged to support the work of Habitat for Humanity as it seeks to eliminate poverty housing and improve the quality of people’s lives. In 2005, CSA Group sponsored the construction of a home at the McLevin Woods site in the city of Toronto. In addition, about 200 CSA Group employees have donated more than 1,000 hours of their time to help build Habitat for Humanity homes, a grass-roots volunteer initiative we are pleased to support. See below some occasions where employees have supported the cause:

October 29, 2004 - CEO Build Day

Rob Griffin, President and CEO of CSA Group along with 25 of Toronto's top executives traded in their suits and brief cases for hardhats and hammers to volunteer in Habitat for Humanity Toronto's "CEO Build 2004" at the Habitat "Rotary Drive" project.

CSA Group's First "Adopt-A-Day" Event

On November 30, 2004, 27 volunteers from CSA Group (Toronto) participated at CSA Group's first "Adopt-A-Day" event at the "Rotary Drive" project in Toronto.

About Habitat for Humanity
The beginning... Since its founding in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller, Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) has built and rehabilitated more than 150,000 houses with families in need, becoming a true world leader in addressing the issues of poverty housing.

Phenomenal Growth... In 1984, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn took their first Habitat work trip, the "Jimmy Carter Work Project", to New York City. Their personal involvement in Habitat's ministry brought the organization national visibility and sparked interest in Habitat's work across the nation. HFHI experienced a dramatic increase in the number of new affiliates around the country.

The results... Through the work of Habitat, thousands of low-income families have found new hope in the form of affordable housing. Churches, community groups and others have joined together to successfully tackle a significant sociel problem - decent housing for all.
